Travelers Choice feature in Maverick Magazine June 2006 Issue 38 pages 56 & 57
Tia talks about driving in the UK and the music needed to calm the narrow road nerves. Tia shared with Alan Cackett some of the secrets of the road as she talked about the music that keeps her sane whilst travelling up and down the highways.
In the article Tia says ‘Were overwealmed by the way our music has been accepted over here. It’s just been really great. We sat down with a friend of ours Jeffrey Steele in Nashville, about year and a half ago and he said :’You’re gonna have to go where your music hits and where people pick up on it.” So, this seems to be our home way from home.
Talking about her Top pick …’One record I never leave the house without is Joni Mitchell’s BLUE. I first heard that album about 6 years ago. I was out at Vancouver writing with Randy Bachman, One day his wife Denise took me shopping and she had Joni Mitchell’s BLUE album on and it was The River I think is what just brought me to tears. ‘A Case Of You’ just inspired me to go for this whole idea of getting back to the folky roots of music….
