Answer: 1984- won the Canadian Open Country Singing Contest

Answer: roots/family/values/God
Question: How do you see the modern Acceptance in the Country Music?
Answer: Elvis was modern in his time, as was Johnny Cash. Country music like every other genre must evolve and grow. It doesn’t mean get rid of the traditional artists and values though.
Question: In what area would you say we could do some changes in the Country Music?
Answer: acceptance of diversity and more creativity in artists. Make room for Indies.
Question: What comes to your mind about Nashville/TN and music industry?
Answer: I’m a Canadian living in Nashville TN. It’s in a state of change right now and God only knows where it’s going.
Question: Which considerable Song was for you till now in the history of the Country Music? And why?
Answer: Stand By Your Man. Gutsy song by a gutsy, remarkable lady and artist.
Question: Would you say there is a worldwide difference by the Country-Fans? And which once?
Answer: European fans more open to good music and less to star power. We’re too influenced by the “name” and not by the quality of music over here.
Question: How would you rate the country music in your hometown?
Answer: Nashville of course is different than my hometown of Port Dover, Canada. Canada is more open to creativity than Nashville is.
Question: How much do you believe that the influence of a song has a meaning in the public mind?
Answer: the song is a voice for society and I believe in the power of the song. I’m a songwriter!
Question: How would you describe the Stile of the Music you play?
Answer: Americana/country rock/Christian
Question: Why did you just pick up this kind and not another one?
Answer: it just came the most natural to me. I’ve sung everything from Rock to Big Band and this is really who I am.
Question: How important do you feel the Contact to the Fans? And why?
Answer: huge! The fans are why we as artists/songwriters keep doing what we do. Certainly not for the money (or lack of) and this crazy business we’re in.
Question: A very long incessant Trend is the fuse of Country- and Pop- Music. Where do you see the advantage and the disadvantage?
Answer: advantage: hipper and broader lyrical potential Disadvantage: labels think they can only sign 13 year olds to be hip
Question: Do you have any musical model? And if yes, why those once?
Answer: Linda Ronstadt has the purest most emotional voice and delivery I’ve ever heard. She’s the greatest at just singing the song!

Answer: Randy Bachman (Guess Who and BTO), Johnny Cash (Tommy Hunter Show)
Question: How much influence does your musical development have in your private life?
Answer: My boyfriend and I write and perform on stage together. This makes my work and time from my family in Canada a lot more easier.
Question: How old where you when you discovered you love to Country music.
Answer: 19

Question: If you would have to convince someone that the Country Music is the best, what arguments would you use?
Answer: Aside from the direction the music industry is in right now, country music is still the purest form of music on the market today. The song is still what matters most and lyrics are still king! Country fans are the most loyal, awesome people you’d ever want to meet and most country artists and songwriters are good, family oriented people with a strong faith in God.
